| Married Man hanging out with Single Man co-worker and now another Female co-worker enters the mix. HELP!!? Well, my husband has been working with a company for over 4 years now. Just this year he met another male co-worker in his department whom he gets along with rather well. They work in teams and only ever work together. In fact, some other employees have started calling them the "dream team" since their stats are so good. They started hanging out a bit and more and more, taking up my time with husband. Since they see eachother so much like 45 hours a week at work and then this guy comes to my home sometimes for 8-9 hrs, brings a 24 of beer I am stuck to feed him dinner and just basically overstays his welcome. It really frustrates me and I just want to spend time with my husband. He just doesn't get it!!! They sometimes are sent home early because there is not enough work and the friend takes the hubby to a bar, without me knowing. The hubby has never ever been a fan of the bar ever! He would never go with me yet he's going with this guy all of a sudden. Now, recently my husband says he's depressed, feels unappreciated at home and at work, FYI it's like pulling teeth getting him to do anything at home, he just sits in front of the TV, playing video games and smoking pot. Apparently spoking pot is his way to unwind at the end of the week. It's un necessary and we are short on money right now. So, the hubby tells male co - worker his problems, the hubby thinks this is his new best friend and co worker starts meddling in my marriage. Hubby says well you have a shrink..I have (name hidden). I see a problem with this. Co worker is a huge drinker that is constantly encouraging the alcohol in my home that I try so hard to keep out. Hubby has alcoholic tendencies and drinks to get drunk. He also comes from a family of abusive alcoholics. Then last night, hubby is at work and co worker male says, hey..seen you talking to (female co-worker) more you seem really friendly, implying that hubby is interested in having an affair. Another co worker says the same last night also, hubby says no way I'm married "apparently" and the rumors start. Hubby comes home, admits he was at the bar, starts flipping out telling me about what was said regarding him and female co worker (whom I don't know and have never met, but he has mentioned her on a couple of occasions and feels the need to be friends with her), needless to say I was unimpressed but kept my mouth shut. All of a sudden he points out that he's now driving her to work everyday! I SAID WHAT!!??? You're opening up a can of worms by doing this. Gossip will really fly! So, he picks her up anyways (female co worker has a boyfriend that works opposite of her). Now hubby has mentioned before he has a thing for good looking tall blondes which she is and so am I. So hard to bite my tongue! He's no longer calling me on his breaks at lunch starting today(he always did religiously before for 4 years) and calling me later in the night, when he has less time. I don't know who's at fault here, who I should trust or what to do not to loose my husband or our 6 year marriage over this. Can anyone offer me some advice? | I had the exact same problem a few years ago. Most of my friends were guys, and they would inappropriately touch me, make sexual jokes etc, and I got sick of it. In the end I just told them that I didn't appreciate it, it made me feel sick and if they were going to continue i would find some new friends who wouldn't do that to me. In the end they respected what I said and they stopped, sometimes they would still make the sex jokes etc, but I was okay with that as long as they didn't touch me. If they continue to pursue this, I'd find a better bunch of dudes to hang with. Hope i helped. |
